Unionization

1) I feel that collage students should not be able to unionize for the collage because they are students and not employees, they chose to be at tat school and play that sport they were not forced into anything.
2) Once again I fell that students should not be paid from a school that they chose to attend.
3) If the athletes were to be paid by the school then no, they should not get a scholarship. I say this because an above average student would have to pay the school and find a job to make up for the money they paid while a jock can just play the sport that got them the free scholarship and get paid for playing the sport and if they wanted more money they can get an easy job flipping burgers or be behind a cash register at any fast food chain.

I have a feeling that the NHL playoffs will end with the Capitals vs Flyers. Even though I am a Bruins fan I have seen that they were slaking off recently. Unless the Bruins step up there game I don't see them making it to the playoffs. I say that the Capitals and Flyers will make it because the Capitals have run a great defense. As well as their goalie with a good record so far. The Flyers record last season was great so I feel that they will carry this record over to this season.

Boston racist?

As a fan of most Mass sports, I feel that the Boston racism ordeal is being blown out of proportion. if people and the world are relying on a website to judge a whole city then what can we find on others that people have said. If the world is stuck in a faze like this then the world is going down hill. As Gandhi once said in his life "An eye for an eye..." and i stick true to this quote. People need to see the big picture and stop being picky when it comes to news and the internet.

What is a sport?

I feel that a sport is an activity that makes people physically challenge the participants and has some sort of point system to show the victor(s) but in the end everyone is respectful of one another.

After looking at the article about Sandusky and his wife I see were Dottie is coming from. Although, when the number of kids that first talked may have been telling the truth. The other children could have lied when it came to money. For the question of "Are professional athletes and coaches above the law?" I say no. I say no because no person is above the law even if your a cop, a Navy Seal or the president.

After interviewing two people with a list of questions the following answers were great feedback. The questions were "Do you feel that athletes should be paid more than other people with more important jobs (carpenter, auto-mechanic, plumber)?". "If you saw your favorite athlete, how would you react?". "Would you remove Mix Martial Arts (MMA) sports even though more people have died playing golf?". "Should all Martial Arts be used in MMA?". "How would you avoid injuries in sports?". The answers obtained were "No but I do see why athletes are paid more than the average person." and "No because the are simply passing a ball or swinging a bat." The next question was answered with "Well I actually did meet my favorite athlete in an elevator but i didn't freak out and start screaming, instead I kept my cool and stayed calm." and "I would be so pumped if I saw my favorite athlete on the street." Next was the MMA questions. "I have no problem with MMA sports so I have no reason to remove them." and a simple "No." For the other question. "I feel that not all Martial Arts should be used because it may create an uneven playing field." and "With a title like Mix Martial Arts why wouldn't all Martial Arts be used." The last question was answered with "In sports, injuries and the such are almost inevitable." and "Stretching, staying hydrated and having a trainer help you should be the best way to avoid injuries." After hearing the answers I agreed with most of what they said, after reading this I would like to see what you think about these topics and answer them yourselves.

My Sports Question

So what was everyone's thought on yesterdays Bruins game?

In the case of Michael Sam, I feel that the people of today have become more accepting of gays and should see past this "problem" and find that Michael Sam maybe one of the best players the NFL has seen in a while.

Aaron Hernandez, a big name in the past year for New England. When Aaron was young he had a good life. His father and mother loved him and his older brother was a great inspiration. His father had a darker side as a criminal in his younger years with his twin brother. After Aaron's fathers death he began a downward spiral towards the same darker side that his father went through. Aaron's mother had also married an abusive coke dealer that she would later divorce after a few cases of abuse. As his career moved towards the big life so did his need to live on the edge. Aaron had gotten warnings from his coaches to straighten up but he would still just keep on partying and hanging with the gang. Even though Aaron wasn't planning on doing what he was told, his coaches could have done something to try and stop his self-destruction. suspension for a month or make him work three times as hard when he shows for practice. Now Aaron looks at the world in a cold, grey box with one door and one window, both with bars lining the way.

If you were in a class with three other collage students on one of the sports teams and they did no work in the class but some how passed, don't think it was a glitch in the system because it might have been the system that made them pass. As collage athletes work on their passing and catching are they doing their reading and righting? CNN shows us that some schools are making there student athletes pass without doing any of the work. Students from all over are trying to get into good schools but are pushed aside for the more athletic kids that wont do what the school asks for so the push them through school and the other student that would have worked hard for their grade has to find a new school to apply for.
